Pro-Files

The funny thing about the X-Files movie is that I kind of wished I could watch another episode next week. Yes I miss the show, but the latest movie X-Files: I Want to Believe satisfied my craving. I'm not going to write what this movie is about, but if you're looking for big budget special effects and action . . .go watch Dark Knight instead. If you want to sit back and use your head for a little while, this movie might be more your style. At this point I doubt that anything X-Files could disappoint me, hell I even liked the last couple of seasons, but this movie was just a joy to watch. The biggest surprise of this movie was Billy Connolly, this dude has quite the range in his acting. The last movie I saw him in was Fido, where he played a zombie house butler. Of course he'll always be Il Duce to me, however. The last thing I'll mention about the movie is the credits. The theme song almost made me cry and the sequence at the end made me smile.

I know a lot of people were disapointed by the movie, but this is probably my favorite movie of the year so far. Don't get me wrong, I squeed like a fangirl when I The Dark Knight, but five minutes into I Want To Believe and I was back in 1993 watching with the lights off.

I hear ya man, I hear ya. I'm recently watching Season One again, the one with kid drawing his sister's face in binary code was the first ep. I remember watching with you and I still get that chill every time I see her face. On the movie though . . . did Scully wave to you at the very end too? She did to me, and I waved back. :)
