Another Classic.

On the long list that is my movie favorites, there's one particular film which is a little different from the rest, but I still get a kick out of watching it once in a while. LA Confidential is one of those period pieces set in the 1950's, involving mystery, murder, and corruption. This was the first movie I saw Russell Crowe and Guy Pierce in, two Aussie actors that pull off great roles as LA Cops. The opposition between the two is great, and you can't help but like both of them a little and hate them a little. Kevin Spacey is also great as the Hollywood Cop, who is a little bit black and white. What I like most about this movie is the feel, that golden age of LA as the setting for a detective style story. Gotta love it.
